Protection of structure with Anti-carbonation coatings

A water based Acrylic elastomeric coating to the bridge protecting the structure from water vapour diffusion, and all deleterious elements such as chlorides and sulphates. The coating withstands from exposure to UV radiation and weathering, making the concrete durable.

Methodology

  • Surface preparation by Cleaning, wire brushing, water jetting.
  • Putty application: closing the pinholes, honeycombs, and uneven surfaces.
  • Primer coating: Applying compatible primer.
  • Protective coating: Applying two coats of anti-carbonation paint by spraying with compatible equipment.
